Celebrating the 2026 Mercy Spirit Awards at Stella Maris
October 2, 2026
At Stella Maris, our mission is more than words, it is reflected every day in the compassion, dedication and service of the people who care for our residents, patients, families and one another.
The Mercy Spirit Awards provide a special opportunity to recognize employees who truly embody that mission and carry forward the legacy of the Sisters of Mercy through their work.
Each year, colleagues nominate individuals who consistently demonstrate the values that have guided Stella Maris for generations. These are team members who lead with compassion, treat others with dignity and respect, offer support when it is needed most and continually go above and beyond in service to others.
This year, Stella Maris was proud to celebrate an exceptional group of 2026 Mercy Spirit Award nominees. Each nominee represents the heart of our organization and the many ways our mission comes to life across our campus every day.
We are especially proud to congratulate our 2026 Mercy Spirit Award recipients, Keri Hook and Benter Odiwuor. Their commitment to serving others and the positive impact they have on the Stella Maris community exemplify the true spirit of Mercy.
While the awards recognize individual accomplishments, they also provide an opportunity to celebrate something much larger: the people who make Stella Maris what it is.
For generations, Stella Maris has been committed to providing compassionate, mission-driven care to those we are privileged to serve. That legacy continues because of employees who understand that every interaction, whether with a resident, patient, family member, visitor or colleague, is an opportunity to demonstrate kindness, compassion and respect.
Congratulations to Keri, Benter and all of our 2026 Mercy Spirit Award nominees. Thank you for sharing your gifts with our community, for living our mission each day and for continuing the legacy of the Sisters of Mercy.
You are the spirit of Mercy at Stella Maris.
