conference imageStella Maris was proud to attend and exhibit at the 2026 LifeSpan Annual Conference & Expo, held September 22–25 at the Roland E. Powell Convention Center in Ocean City, Maryland. The annual event brought together hundreds of professionals from across the senior care continuum for four days of education, collaboration, networking and conversations about the future of aging services.

As a longtime provider of senior care and health services in Maryland, Stella Maris values opportunities to connect with colleagues who share our commitment to providing exceptional care to older adults and their families.

Connecting Across the Continuum of Care

The LifeSpan Annual Conference is one of the region’s premier gatherings for professionals working throughout senior care. LifeSpan Network represents more than 500 skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, retirement communities, adult day and hospice providers, home and community-based services, and business partners. This year’s conference featured more than 50 educational sessions, 100+ companies in the exhibit hall and opportunities to connect with more than 700 senior care professionals.

For the Stella Maris team, the conference provided an important opportunity to strengthen existing relationships while developing new connections with health care professionals, community partners, industry leaders and organizations serving older adults throughout Maryland and beyond.

Our team was also excited to welcome attendees to the Stella Maris exhibit, where we had the opportunity to share more about our continuum of services and the compassionate, mission-driven care that has defined Stella Maris for generations.

Learning, Sharing and Looking Ahead

Throughout the conference, educational sessions and keynote presentations explored many of the opportunities and challenges facing senior care today. The experience gave our team the chance to hear new perspectives, exchange ideas with colleagues and learn more about innovations shaping the future of long-term, post-acute and community-based care.

Conferences like LifeSpan are also an important reminder that while organizations may provide care in different settings, we share a common purpose: improving the experience and outcomes of the people and families who depend on us.

The conversations don’t end when the conference does. We return to Stella Maris with new ideas, renewed relationships and an even stronger commitment to continually evaluating how we can best meet the changing needs of those we serve.

Continuing Our Mission

For Stella Maris, participating in the LifeSpan Conference is about more than professional development or showcasing our services. It is another opportunity to live our mission.

Every new relationship, shared idea and conversation can ultimately help us strengthen the care and support we provide to patients, residents and families throughout our community.

We are grateful to LifeSpan Network for bringing Maryland’s senior care community together and to everyone who stopped by to connect with the Stella Maris team during this year’s conference.

We look forward to building on those conversations and continuing to work alongside our partners to advance compassionate, high-quality care for older adults throughout Maryland.

A Tradition of Mercy. A Heart of Caring.
